I did that this year with open court and everyday math. We decided it was best to just use 5th everyday, and I think it went well. Also I just did 5th open court. I was also in my 3rd year, an Emints third year. Just help the 4th as needed. It really was a good year.

I teach Everyday Math and although I do not have a split I do loop with my kids in grades 4 and 5 and have compacted each unit this year. That is the same thing I would do if I had a split class. You can email me directly if you'd like.
Thanks.

Subject: [eMINTS] 4th / 5th Split

Are there any eMints teachers out there that teach a 4th/5th split, that teach out of Open Court and/or Everyday Mathematics?

I am going into my third year of teaching and I have been asked to take on a 4th/5th split. I could use any help I can get. If you have any suggestions, I am open to suggestions.

Thanks for any help I can get!

Barbara Knowlden
