[eMINTS] airliner use with smartnotebook

I'm moving from a school with Smart Boards to a school with Airliners.  I had a very brief tutorial on an Airliner and tried to use it with a Smart Notebook lesson.  I had a difficult time using the Airliner.  It didn't seem to have good orientation.  When I put the pen/stylus on the Airliner it did not directly correlate with the location on the screen.  Then when I passed the Airliner around for the students to "drag and drop" items, it was even worse.  I looked on line for troubleshooting the Airliner.  I tried to un-enable the "enable hover" button and then orient the Airliner, but I still could not do this.  Has anyone else used an Airliner with much success?  If so, do you have any tips for a teacher who is more used to a Smart Board?
