[eMINTS] Fwd: reading assessment and remedial programs

All students are benchmarked...beginning, middle, and end of year.  Those
who meet the benchmark can be progress monitored less frequently.  It
would probably be a good idea to test them once a month or so just to make
sure they're continuing to make progress, too though.  Those who are
struggling are progress monitored every 2 weeks.  We use it to guide
instruction with all levels of readers...but the results are more easily
interpreted with struggling readers as it points out their areas of
weakness.
