[eMINTS] file conversion

I have a couple of questions:
- I am purchasing old songs through iTunes for 99 cents. They are mp4
files and cannot be imported into all video production software
programs: MM2, Photo Story 3, etc. They aren't available in mp3 format
through the other purchase venue of $1.29
- I need to convert them to mp3

I have an educational u tube video and I've downloaded it. It's an
mpeg4 and won't play in Real Player, Windows Media Player 11, or
Quicktime. I am getting error messages in all of them.
