[eMINTS] wikis and blogs

Hello, all!

I know wikis and blogs have been a topic of discussion on this list in the past, but I am interested in some feedback about them.  What would be the first step in creating one for classroom use?  Is there a site that is better than any other?  I am looking for FREE and simple sites/options, by the way.
