[eMINTS] Kid's versions of classic books?

Is there a comic book or movie?  I know there is a movie of the
Invisible Man...not sure about the comic book.  You could watch the
movie and compare it Things Not Seen.

We're reading Things Not Seen right now and I'd like to be able to
compare
it to H.G. Wells' The Invisible Man without actually reading Wells book
in
class (a bit over 5th graders''s heads!). Any suggestions? I've searched
the Internet for an abridged version for kids and all I can find are
synopses. Thanks in advance for any advice/resources!
