[eMINTS] figurative language

One of the GLE's I am especially working on this year is figurative
language in nonfiction.  R3B5 Identify and explain figurative language
in nonfiction text (emphasize simile, metaphor, and personification).

I can find lots of examples of figurative language in poetry and prose,
but I'm not finding as many in nonfiction.  Does anyone know of Internet
sites, books, articles or anything for teaching this GLE.

I've noticed that my lower readers have the most difficulty with this
as they take things very literal, so lower level reading would not be a
problem.
